Diary: 27th Aug
Swindale Beck - up river - dried up part - almost like beach!
beautiful, calm, overcast - made [few lines] then worked with smooth stones - scratched
on line that echoed form of rocks. really enjoyed. A few dangerous fine
rain showers - But now raining heaviliy!!! If I had been

5 minutes longer in finishing the line would have been washed
away - as it is going to be done now. - now splattered. Walked back in river -
wet, dark, beautifully fresh.
