Diary: 5th Jan - Helbeck Craggs
Went to small pool below craggs
- ice - thick enough to stand on-
[creaked] - calm at first - broke ice
after trying other things - it takes courage
to break surface - began to stack ice -
wanted to make construction -
excited at getting three storeys - then
added another - and another - and
another...Each time believing
it would be last - however
it was so cold the ice was
freezing together
making it strong enough
to build tall.
Turned what was a
relatively uninteresting work
into something more
special.
beautiful grey/blue
sky.
snowing.
