Diary: 13 or 14 [AG has changed date - unclear] Hampstead Heath

carried on with silver birch -
made circle - became really [?]
in twigs shooting off - will make
inside round and outside wild.
The conservation group stopped cutting
down silver birch for the morning so ran
out of twigs. Will finish it off Monday.
If it is still there.

Feel very tired. Had to talk
to critic, so little done in
afternoon - dark so quickly
still this could be a good piece
of work. Its enough.
I not sure how it will stand up
but I will try.

A variation on Hooke entrance?
I don't know whether to take it to
Covent Garden - would return it to Heath
after exhibition?

Hook wood work seems to be taking
shape - still worried [?] - it reminds me
of those works that I make too big -
too ambitious for its form and falls -
I remake smaller - then eventually
learn how to make it bigger than ever
started out - I hope.
